Franklin Road Widening
Franklin Road Widening--Preliminary work for the widening of Franklin Road to five lanes between Concord Road and Moore's Lane has begun. This is a joint city and state project. The city will pay for engineering and right of way acquisition and the state will pay for construction of the entire project.
Other planned road improvements include:
- Sunset Road at Copperstone subdivision
- Split Log Road from Ragsdale Roade intersection west to Wilson Pike
- Waller Road, widen roadway to 22 foot lane from Maupin Road to Sunset Road
- Wilson Pike/Old Smyrna Road include left turn lanes to be installed on Wilson Pike
