Carnes Group LLC, a Franklin Tennessee based company is looking for a Microsoft Consulting Expert. This person will concentrate on Microsoft Infrastructure, specifically on Windows Server family products with primary emphasis on AD, Windows Server, SBS, Exchange, SQL Server, DPM, Response Point and VoIP, Windows Mobile, Cisco routers and firewalls, with planned expansion into Systems Center, OCS, Forefront, and SharePoint. Experience, references and a Microsoft or Cisco certification is required. Microsoft Consulting is done on a project basis and is in the Metro-Nashville area although some projects might, very rarely, require travel. Typical projects include Active Directory Design, Windows 2003/2008 Design and Implementation, Exchange 5.5/2000 to Exchange 2003/2007 Migration, Desktop standardization and implementation, Clustering (SQL Server, Exchange with RAID or EMC SAN), Small Business Server 2003, and Network Implementation. Carnes Group is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and has access to all software needed by these experts and has a test lab for hands-on learning. More information is available on our website.
IT Managed Services duties can additionally entail: the normal day to day support to keep a company’s technology running. Job activities would include: PC support and deployment, anti-virus, firewall support, troubleshooting, hardware deployment, help desk, patch deployment and maintenance, Microsoft Systems Update System, backups, disaster planning and all those tasks needed to maintain, support and proactively manage the user technology. Support Engineers provide technology support on an as-needed basis for our customers. Travel around the Metro-Nashville area is typical and flexible after hours work is sometimes required. You must be able to provide technical support via on site, by telephone or remote access. Candidate MUST have the personality, ethics and honesty to work in someone’s business or home office and exhibit trustworthiness.
A minimum of five or more years of Microsoft server experience is required with preference to those with corporate support experience. IP Telephony knowledge is preferred. Cisco, Linux, UNIX, experience is a plus. College degree and MCSE preferred. Please do not apply for this position if unable to work nights and weekends. A high level of interpersonal and customer service skills combined with technical prowess is necessary to be successful in this position.
